Cheryl Baker recognized for outstanding job performance
Cheryl Baker WOODBURY -- Cheryl Baker was chosen by Inspira Medical Center Woodbury as the Employee of the Month. This Woodbury resident was recognized for her work ethic, positive attitude, and outstanding job performance.
In the position of administrative secretary for staff education for over three years, Baker ensures that the clinical employees' competencies are up-to-date, oversees the unit secretaries, and manages the nursing policies. When she expressed interest in expanding her role, Baker was trained to be a basic life support instructor and now teaches that course.
Baker started at the hospital working the afternoon shift in the Medical Imaging's file room. She left for seven years to work for Dr. Craig Rosen and then returned to Medical Imaging.
Determined to meet her goal to finish her bachelor's degree that she started many years ago, Baker is now a junior in Southern New Hampshire University's online program for Healthcare Administration.
When she's not studying, Baker lists scrapbooking, crocheting, taking her two dogs to the park, and going to Ocean City as her favorite pastimes. Plus, if Inspira is participating in a community event, chances are that she has volunteered to help.
Living just three blocks from the hospital, the Baker family includes Cheryl's husband Eric, her oldest son Paul, and sons Eric and Bryan who work in Food and Nutrition at the hospital.
