Classical and jazz guitarist Robert Weintraut will perform at Rowan in Glassboro
GLASSBORO -- A Rowan graduate, Robert Weintraut, makes his performing debut as a faculty member in a recital on Wednesday, March 23 at 8 p.m. in the university's Boyd Recital Hall.
Presented as part of the College of Performing Arts' Faculty Spotlight Series, Weintraut presents a program of works by Agustin Barrios-Mangore, Ferdinando Carulli, Napoleon Coste, Mauro Giuliani, Nikita Koshkin, and Manuel Maria Ponce.
Weintraut is a classical and jazz guitarist and educator who began his studies in both piano and guitar at age of 7. He attended Rowan University under a full scholarship, completing Bachelor's Degrees in jazz studies, education, and guitar performance. He was awarded a teaching fellowship to study under Robert Trent at Radford University in Virginia, where he earned a Master's Degree in guitar performance.
