Delsea's JROTC team member Kaylee Smallets fires a career-high at competition
Delsea Regional High School's Army JROTC Air Rifle Team competed for the fifth consecutive year in the Civilian Marksmanship Program JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer's Training Corps) Service National Air Rifle Competition at Camp Perry, Ohio recently.
Though the team finished 12th out of 18 Army teams (there were over 60 total teams in attendance, including Navy, Air Force and Marine JROTC teams), Delsea continued to rank as the No. 1 Sporter Class Air Rifle Team in the Northeast United States.
Team Captain John Schwartz, Assistant Captain John Dell'Angelo and future Team Captain Kaylee Smallets, fired a career-high 503, 506 and 507 respectively.
Congratulations to them and the other JROTC Service National competitors Jimmy Kelly and Chris Pineda. There will be one last competition at Delsea on Saturday, March 5.
