The abuse went on from 2002 to 2009.

WOODBURY -- A Williamstown man faces six years in prison after admitting he failed to report the sexual assault of a child, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office. Judge Robert P. Becker handed down the sentence on Friday.

Darryl Senior, 49, pleaded guilty in October to child endangerment charges. A girl under the age of 13 had told Senior she had been repeatedly sexually assaulted by Raymond J. Watson between 2002 and 2009, but Senior made no effort to turn in the assailant. Watson, 36, was arrested in 2014 and pleaded guilty last March. Prosecutors are seeking a minimum of 10 years in prison for the assaults.

The prosecution read a letter from the girl Watson assaulted during the hearing. In her letter, she described the consequences of the abuse, saying she had lost her innocence and sense of trust.

Senior will have to serve 30 months before he is eligible for parole, the GCPO said, and will be required to register as a sex offender under Megan's Law after he is released. He will be on parole supervision for at least 15 years after he gets out of prison.
