Authorities say the man skipped a recent court appearance on a robbery charge.
A Mantua Township man who skipped a recent court appearance on a first-degree robbery charge was arrested Tuesday, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.
Giovanni L. Almodovar, 20, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant after he missed a Feb. 3 Superior Court hearing.
Almodovar is accused of robbing a man of a cellphone in Mantua on Dec. 9, 2014. He allegedly displayed a handgun during the crime, authorities said.
The GCPO fugitive unit learned that Almodovar was staying at a Cherry Hill condominium complex. Almodovar surrendered Tuesday after a GCPO investigator went to the condo and spoke to his mother.
He is now being held without bail.
