The thief smashed a hole in the store door using a crowbar.
WOODBURY HEIGHTS -- Police hope someone can identify a man who smashed his way into a convenience store during last month's blizzard.
Authorities say the burglar parked in an office complex behind the Heritage's store, located on the 300 block of Glassboro Road, shortly before midnight on Jan. 22.
He walked to the front of the store, used a crowbar to smash a two-foot hole in the glass door and dove through the opening, police said.
He stole Newport cigarettes and fled the scene.
Police released images of the suspect and his vehicle.
He is described as white, at least 6 feet tall, thin, in good physical condition, with a large nose and what appears to be facial hair, police said. He wore white sneakers, blue jeans and a green or brown hoodie sweatshirt.
He was driving a newer-model black or dark gray vehicle -- possibly a Dodge Avenger -- with tinted windows, according to authorities.
Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to contact Investigator Gary Krohn at 856-848-6707, ext. 28. Tipsters may remain anonymous, police said.
