FRANKLIN TWP. -- A student at Delsea Regional High School was charged on Tuesday morning when the 16-year-old was caught with brownies that were allegedly laced with marijuana, police say.
Franklin Township officers announced on social media that they were called to Delsea Regional High School at about 11:30 a.m. School staff told the officers that one of the students, whose name was not released, was found in possession of several brownies and cookies that were believed to contain weed.
The student was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession in a school zone and possession of over 50 grams of marijuana. The minor was released to a parent pending a court date. Officer Robert Becker of Franklin Township is handling the investigation.
