Shalir Hall, 22, and David Glenn, 24, admitted they teamed up to rob seven banks and would take turns driving the getaway vehicle.
CAMDEN -- Two men who teamed up for a bank-robbing spree throughout South Jersey will spend nine months in federal prison.
The state's U.S. attorney's office announced Shalir Hall, 22 of Edgewater Park, and David Glenn, 24 of Burlington Township, were each sentenced to 108 months in prison on Thursday after the pair previously pleaded guilty to committing the robberies, which spanned nine different banks in 2013 and 2014.
Authorities said the spree started with Hall robbing a Beneficial Savings Bank in Willingboro in September 2013 when he threatened employees and demanded money before fleeing.
He joined up with his partner, Glenn, in November of that year, when they robbed a Beneficial Bank in Willingboro on Nov. 14 and again on Nov. 26.
The pair -- who took turns robbing and driving their getaway vehicle -- then moved onto a PNC Bank in Mount Laurel on Nov. 29. On Dec. 12, they robbed two banks in Delran on the same day.
Hall flew solo on Dec. 17, when he robbed a Columbia Savings Bank in Maple Shade, but then teamed back up with Glenn after the new year when they robbed both a TD Bank in Bellmawr and a PNC Bank in East Windsor on Jan. 8, 2014.
More than 10 law enforcement agencies, including local police departments, prosecutor's offices and federal agencies were involved in tracking the two down.
Hall pleaded guilty to none counts of bank robbery and Glenn pleaded guilty to seven counts of bank robbery. They were each sentenced to serve three years of supervised release following their federal prison sentence.
