The fundraiser will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Grange Hall kitchen.

UPPER PITTSGROVE TWP. -- A soup and bake sale is planned Saturday to help the Elmer Grange to raise money needed for repairs.

The Grange Hall on Daretown Road is undergoing structural repairs. The building -- used for so many community events -- has been closed since early October for the work.

This weekend's soup and bake sale is one of several fundraisers being planned to help with work on the Grange.

The soup and bake sale will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Elmer Grange Hall kitchen.

The kitchen area is usable on a limited basis so the sale will be held in that area of the building.

Four different kinds of soups will be offered -- turkey noodle, loaded potato, vegetable and chili.

Soup is $9 a quart and is takeout only. Contact Carol Evans at 609-202-4157 or Becky Blum at 609-420-1568 to order soup.

Baked goods ranging from pies, to cakes and cookies will be available for sale when you pick up your soup at the Grange.

If someone can't take part in the weekend fundraiser but would like to help the Grange reconstruction project in another way, they should also contact either Evans or Blum at the above telephone numbers. They can answer any questions about what is needed to help.

Organizers hope to make the weekend soup and bake sale as successful as possible to help giver back to the Grange since it has helped so many other organizations over the years.
