WESTVILLE -- On Dec. 3, the PrimoHoagies, Primo Cares Team consisting of local franchise owners, will converge at the Nellies Provisions Warehouse in Gloucester City to bring together over $30,000 worth of gifts they collected for the Delaware Valley Children's Charity. The gifts include coats, gloves, warm clothes and bedding for over 7,000 children and families serviced by the Delaware Valley Children's Charity organization.

Charlie Doud, a member of the Primo Cares Board and the Delaware Valley Children's Charity Board states, "It's one thing to be an economically thriving business in a community but you really take your business to another level when you become a good corporate citizen like PrimoHoagies."

In 2014, the owners of PrimoHoagies, who have a thriving franchise business that extends over seven states, from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland Virginia, South Carolina and Florida, decided it was time to do something philanthropic for the communities they serve but they really wanted to do something with an impact.

According to Doud, "They started the Primo Cares arm of the business when the owners decided to have all their local franchise owners come together in August of 2014 to assemble and distribute 1,800 backpacks for school children in need in the communities where their franchises are located."

This year the Primo Cares Team decided to partner with the Delaware Valley Children's Charity to make a bigger impact throughout the region.

The Primo Cares local team, out of their Westville headquarters, is still hoping to collect more items for the Delaware Valley Children's Charity organization. They are asking anyone who is interested to contact the office at 856-432-2744 or to drop off a donation to the office at 610 Ryan Avenue, Unit V4 in Westville.
