A body found burning in Massachusetts was identified as a New Jersey woman. (File Photo) BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Investigators identified a woman found dead Tuesday night in Bridgewater as a New Jersey resident, NECN reported.
The Plymouth County District Attorney's office identified the dead woman as Ashley Bortner, 29, of Paulsboro.
Her body was found burned and bound Tuesday night. Police believe Bortner was killed somewhere else and brought to rail tracks in Bridgewater, where the body was burned.
The body was found burning Tuesday night, District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz said in a news release. Her hands were tied behind her back and her feet were tied together.
