Glassboro police conducted a DWI checkpoint between Friday and Saturday nights.

GLASSBORO -- The borough's Halloween weekend DWI checkpoint led to numerous arrests for multiple violations, Glassboro police announced Sunday.

The checkpoint at Route 322 near Rowan University took place both Friday and Saturday nights between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m., and roving patrols around the area were also conducted.

"The goal of the checkpoint was to improve highway safety by proactively addressing DWI violations, as well as other motor vehicle violations, and educating the public on the hazards of driving while intoxicated," Glassboro Police wrote in a Facebook post.
