CLAYTON -- Borough police arrested a man on several drug charges earlier this month.
Officers executed a search warrant at the West Chesnut Street home of 25-year-old Edward McDaniels Oct. 15. Det. Lauren Franklin headed a three-week investigation that police say yielded a "large amount" of prescription pills and less than 50 grams of marijuana.

McDaniels was held at the Salem County Jail on $10,000 bail. He is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute, possession of a CDS without a prescription and possession within 1,000 feet of a school.
The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit, as well as the Pitman Police Department, assisted with the investigation.
