14-year-old boy hospitalized after being hit by car in Glassboro

A 14-year-old boy was struck by a car Friday afternoon while walking across Delsea Drive, according to police.

GLASSBORO -- A 14-year-old boy was struck by a car Friday afternoon while walking across Delsea Drive, according to police.

At around 2 p.m., the teen -- who was trying to either "run or walk across" the road -- was struck by a 1993 Ford Mustang in the southbound lane.

The Mustang was being driven by a 43-year-old Franklin Township woman.

The boy was transported to Cooper Univeristy Hospital for a leg injury.

The driver was not injured.

The accident is being investigated by the Glassboro Police Department Traffic Safety Unit.

Police are asking anyone with information related to the incident to contact Patrolman Ken Kuzniasz, of the Glassboro Police Department, at 856-881-1501 ext. 88112.
