There's still time to get tickets for the annual Founder's Cup event, which will honor Jim Auletto Jr. on Oct. 28 at RiverWinds.

WEST DEPTFORD TWP. -- The Greater Woodbury Chamber of Commerce will present its Founder's Cup award to Jim Auletto Jr. on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at RiverWinds Restaurant.

Tickets for the event are still available.

Auletto, owner of Auletto's Caterers in Almonesson, joins a long list of local luminaries and businesses honored with this award, including Inspira CEO Eileen Cardile, Ace Ford and the Eastlack family, retired Times publisher Frank Gargano and Greater Woodbury Food Bank.

The Founder's Cup program runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the restaurant, where attendees will enjoy wine and hors d'oeuvres.

Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased online.

The chamber, in partnership with the South Jersey Times, created the award in 1998. The Founder's Cup recognizes the 1962 founding of the chamber. Per the award guidelines, the trophy is presented to "a deserving individual, firm or organization that has had a positive impact on, and served the greater Woodbury community with honor, distinction or demonstrated worthy service over the course of the past year."

This year's honoree fits those guidelines perfectly, said chamber Executive Director John Campbell.

"Jim Auletto has done so much for a lot of people -- not just individuals but different organizations," Campbell said. "He treats you like family. His staff are so hospitable, and that's a reflection on him. He cares about people."

The Founder's Cup award is one of the highlights of the chamber's year. Other annual chamber events include Gloucester County Dancing with the Stars and the Cy Eastlack Memorial Golf Outing.

As its name implies, the chamber represents the county seat and many surrounding towns. "We are not just Woodbury, though Woodbury is very important to us," Campbell said. "It's a very business friendly group. They try and help each other out."

The chamber boasts nearly 300 members and holds regular events, including its "Coffee Clatch" gatherings on the last Wednesday of each month at 8 a.m. This program is hosted by a different chamber member each month and will be held Oct. 28 at Car-Tel Communications in West Deptford. These events regularly attract about 80 businesses, Campbell noted.
