Gloucester County will offer defensive driving classes later this month, allowing residents the chance to save money on car insurance premiums and remove points assessed for driving violations.
DEPTFORD TWP. -- The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office will offer defensive driving classes later this month, allowing residents the chance to save money on car insurance premiums and remove points assessed for driving violations.
The class is offered in a one-day session on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in room 710 at Rowan College of Gloucester County's Scott Hall, 1400 Tanyard Road, Deptford Township.
Another class is scheduled on two consecutive nights, 6-9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26 and Tuesday, Oct. 27, in room 443 at Rowan College's Instructional Center. Attendance is required on both evenings to receive the certificate of completion.
A $10 processing fee is charged for class materials and the cost of removing up to two points from a driver's license. The fee may be paid at the class. Cash is not accepted. Make checks out to National Safety Council.
Vehicle insurers give a 5 percent rate reduction for completing the course.
