The fundraiser at Wenonah Lake will allow off-leash play and swimming
Trisha Baud is a busy senior at West Deptford High School.
She is vice president of her class as well as a three-sport varsity athlete and captain of the field hockey and Lacrosse teams.
Trisha is doing a community service project to benefit the West Deptford Police K-9 Unit. She is raising funds to help cover the purchase and training of the K-9 dogs, as municipal taxes do not cover these expenses.
Her motivation for this project stems from her love of animals, and in particular, the working dogs. She has volunteered at Penn Vet Working Dog Center in Philadelphia and has grown to love these amazing working dogs and all they have to offer.
A fundraising event will take place at the Wenonah Lake on Maple Avenue in Wenonah on Sunday, Sept. 18 from noon to 2 p.m. This event, "The End of the Dog Days of Summer, will allow off-leash play and swimming at the lakes facility.
A donation will be accepted at the gate.
It is requested that all dogs attending are people and dog friendly.
