GREENWICH TWP. -- A Greenwich Township police officer has been charged with misconduct and witness tampering after he allegedly had sex with a prostitute while on duty, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.
William H. Dick III, 42, of Gibbstown, committed misconduct April 22 "by engaging in sexual acts with a prostitute while on duty," in exchange for money, prosecutors said.
The prostitute reported the incident to police, authorities said.
Dick allegedly called the witness and attempted to have her recant her initial report when he thought there would be an official investigation.
