Edward Crosbee always picks his own numbers and spends the same amount on every game each week.
A South Jersey grandfather who spends exactly $19 on lottery tickets at the same store each week was the winner of the $8.3 million Pick-6 drawing on July 4.
Edward Crosbee and his wife Dorothy found out they hit the jackpot when their daughter called to alert them that the winning ticket was sold at the store where her father plays the lottery.
The daughter then posted the winning numbers on Facebook and Edward Crosbee said he immediately knew the numbers were his.
The ticket was purchased at Buck Road Mini Mart on the 600 block of Buck Road in the Monroeville section of Elk Township in Gloucester County. The winning numbers were 2, 12, 16, 17, 29, and 34.
State lottery officials announced the couple as the winner of the prize on Wednesday.
Crosbee said he picks his own numbers. He also follows a specific formula for how much to spend on each game -- $2 apiece on Pick-6 and Mega Millions, $4 each on Cash4Life and Powerball and $7 on Jersey Cash 5.
The Crosbees plan to bring their entire family, which includes seven grandchildren, to Disney World.
Edward Crosbee recently retired after working as a chemical operator for 39 years. He and Dorothy told lottery officials they plan take care of their family as much as they can and put away the rest for retirement.
