A man was killed when he was hit by a car in Monroe Township Sunday night.
MONROE TWP. -- A 62-year-old man died after being hit by a car on the Black Horse Pike Sunday night.
The victim, who is not being identified at this time, was crossing the four-lane highway at the intersection of Poplar Street when he was struck by a 1998 Mercedes 500, driven by a 70-year-old Williamstown man, according to Monroe Township police.
He was thrown approximately 80 feet and suffered multiple serious injuries, police said, and was pronounced dead at the scene at around 9:30 p.m.
The accident is still under investigation by the Monroe Township Police Department's traffic safety bureau.
