Kelly Chropkia earned distinction from Zeta Pi chapter of Chi Sigma Iota
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP - Birches Elementary School guidance counselor Kelly Chropka received a surprise sendoff to the 2015-16 school year when Principal Jessica Rose presented her with the Rowan University School Supervisor of the Year award.
Chropka earned the distinction from the Zeta Pi chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, an international honor society that values academic and professional excellence in counseling.
The society promotes scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership, advocacy and excellence in counseling.
Chropka was nominated for the recognition by her practicum intern, Sarah Marzolf, a Washington Township High School graduate who is currently enrolled in Rowan's Counseling in Educational Settings Program.
