WASHINGTON TWP. -- One man was displaced following a fire in a room at the Golden Luck Motel on Saturday evening, officials said.
The fire, reported shortly before 8 p.m. at the Black Horse Pike location, was very minor and had been extinguished by the time fire crews arrived, Washington Township Fire Department Chief John Hoffman said.
No other units in the motel were affected and no injuries were reported.
The fire was attributed to careless smoking, Hoffman said.
The displaced resident was provided emergency assistance for food and clothing and temporary lodging at another location, the American Red Cross reported.
