Justin Fach, 33, was driving southbound near milepost 55.4 when his vehicle ran into the median and overturned, authorities said.
Police described the incident as a one-vehicle crash with injuries but had no details on the cause of the wreck or the number of people hurt.
Police found five wax folds of heroin in the vehicle.
Fach was charged with heroin possession and driving while intoxicated. He was released pending a court date, police said.
