Investors Bank grants aid in annual fundraiser

Investors Bank has provided a total of $5,000 in grants to the Eaise Family Foundation for its Fifth Annual Rally for Research Gala. For Investors, this is a personal story. In 2010, Kevin and Debbie Eaise were told that their son Kevin had a brain tumor, and that was why he was seeing double while playing baseball. Young Kevin played on the team with the son of Investors Bank's Shannon Morgan-Leonen, assistant vice president and Williamstown branch manager. Investors just had to get involved.

Young Kevin's tumor was benign, and surgery at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) alleviated the complications caused by the tumor. In gratitude, the Eaise Family Foundation was created to support the Neuro-Oncology Research Lab at CHOP, and the first annual Rally for Research Gala was held in February 2012. Since then, the family's Foundation has raised $250,000 for research at CHOP, including $70,000 from the most recent gala.

The Eaise Family Foundation applied for the grants from the Investors Bank Foundation and Roma Bank Community Foundation; Roma Bank became part of Investors Bank in December 2013. The foundations support non-profit organizations that enrich diverse communities served by Investors Bank.

Investors Bank Senior Market Manager Carmine Pannullo said that supporting the Eaise Family Foundation "reflects Investors' core values, particularly of commitment and community. This goes beyond one family's gratitude, and extends to an entire community working together in support of research that can change the lives of so many."
