Artist Maria Smith is this month's guest speaker
The Gloucester County Art League will meet at its new meeting place, the Zion Community Church, 242 Kings Highway, Clarksboro at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21.
Guest speaker, Maria Smith, is a multi-media artist and graphic designer. She studied at Rutgers Camden, where she majored in painting and minored in graphic design. She was president of the Rutgers Camden Art Students League from 2009-2012. In 2010, Smith received the Athenaeum and Fine Arts Service Awards.
She currently works at Minuteman Press of Berlin where she is a graphic designer, digital photographer and editor.
On the lighter side, she discovered the magic of polymer clay and will share some of her miniature sculptures, along with her paintings and graphic designs.
Refreshments will be served at the 6:30 p.m. social time. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. followed by the program.
