Margaret E. Heggan Library has three American Girl dolls available
WASHINGTON TWP. -- The Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library in Washington Township announces that it has begun lending American Girl dolls out to library patrons.
Available are Samantha, who lives in the Victorian period; Josefina, who lives in New Mexican in 1824; and Addy, from the Civil War period. Each doll comes in a carrying case with a bed, a book and accessories, and may be borrowed for one week.
To promote further study about the time period each girl lived in, a brochure listing books that are available in the library is included with each doll. Dolls may be checked out by adult Heggan Library cardholders. To check availability, go to the library website. If the doll is unavailable you can place a hold and you will be notified when it becomes available.
The library also offers the American Girl Book Club for children in grades 1-5. This club meets once a month to discuss a selected American Girl book, enjoy a snack and make a craft. Advance online registration is required and limited to Heggan Library cardholders.
For more information about these programs, visit the library website, www.hegganlibrary.org, or call the library, 856-589-3334.
