GETTYSBURG -- The Gloucester County Historical Society, 17 Hunter St., Woodbury, is sponsoring a narrated bus tour of Gettysburg Battlefield, Wednesday, May 4. The cost will be $70 per person and will include lunch. The bus will depart at 7:30 a.m. from the Evergreen Shopping Center (formerly Sickels), 415 S. Evergreen Ave., Woodbury and return at 6:30 p.m. Reservations may be made by calling the Library at 856-845-4771.
ATLANTIC CITY -- Woodbury Heights Seniors scheduled a trip to Caesars Casino, Wednesday, April 20 to see Anthony and The Imperials -- noted group during the '50s and '60s. The total cost includes the show, complete buffet, transportation, and $25 slot play. Parking at St. Margaret's parking lot. Call Betty at 856-848-2222 for further information. Cost is $80. MAINE -- The Central Baptist Church of Millville/Vineland is sponsoring a bus trip to Maine for four days/three nights on June 27-30. The package includes three nights lodging, three breakfasts, three dinners (including a "Downeast" lobsterbake dinner), tour of Portland including Portland Head Light, Perkins Cove, Cruise of Casco Bay, Boothbay Harbor tour, Eartha -- revolving/rotating globe, Kennebunkport tour, L.L. Bean & Dexter Factory Outlets, Nubble Lighthouse, taxes and meal gratuities and motorcoach transportation. The price is $519 per person (double occupancy) and $648 for a single. LANCASTER COUNTY -- The Central Baptist Church of Millville/Vineland is sponsoring a one-day bus trip to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania on Friday, April 15. The trip will include motorcoach transportation for shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village, a smorgasbord meal at Shady Maple Restaurant and a performance of "Samson" at the Millennium (Sight & Sound) Theater. ATLANTIC CITY -- Paulsboro Seniors have a bus trip to Resorts Casino the first Monday of every month and you don't have to be a senior to come. Resorts now has been remodeled and there is very little walking. Food and slots are right off bus parking area. Cost is $25 and you get $25 in slot money. Bus leaves at 12:30 p.m. from the Senior Center on Broad Street. Every trip has a $1 chance you can win a free trip for the next or cash. Call Janet at 856-423-0832.
MACKINAC ISLAND -- The Millville Senior Center will be traveling to Mackinac Island in Michigan from Sept. 11 to 17, 2016. Bus leaves from the Millville Public Library. Guided tour of Mackinac Island by horse and carriage, 500 locks cruise in Sault Sainte Marie, Mackinac Point Lighthouse, Colonial Michillmackinac Park, Mackinac Island Ferry ride, to name just a few of the sites you will see.
