The victim's purse and cellphone were stolen while she was taking her child to school.

HARRISON TWP. -- Police have released security camera images of a vehicle driven by an alleged purse thief.

Harrison Police responded to the Goddard School in the 200 block of North Main Street on Tuesday morning for a theft report.

The victim told police that she left her purse in her unlocked vehicle while she took her child into school. She returned to find her purse missing.

Security camera footage revealed that a black, newer model Dodge Durango that had been parked in the rear corner of the lot pulled up next to the victim's SUV when she went inside the school.

Delaware man charged with drug, weapons offenses

The thief grabbed the purse and drove off toward North Main. The Durango has an unknown out-of-state registration.

The victim's purse and phone were later recovered from a dumpster at Dunkin Donuts on Route 322 in Woolwich using the Find My iPhone app.
