A building on the University's campus was evacuated temporarily Monday morning.

UPDATE: Bole Hall and Bole Annex were reopened shortly after noon Monday when the gas company secured the gas line.

GLASSBORO -- Construction outside of Rowan University has caused evacuations at one Rowan University building Monday morning.

A backhoe hit a gas line as it was tearing up sidewalks in front of Bole Hall, according to Rowan spokesman Joe Cardona.

The building and the Bole Hall Annex have been evacuated until the leak can be brought under control.

Bole Hall is home to the University's President's office and its finance and administration offices.
