Two outstanding seniors, Gabriella Bruno and Kyra Traino, honored for their accomplishments.
WOOLWICH TWP. -- Kingsway Regional High School students Gabriella Bruno and Kyra Traino have been named Seniors of the Month for January 2016.
Gabriella Bruno is the daughter of Robert and Sandy Bruno of Woolwich Township. School activities include: class president, varsity athlete (soccer, softball, basketball), student ambassador, Student Council Executive Board, Culture Club, National Art Honor Society, PAWS, SURE, SADD, and Yearbook.
Gabriella's out-of-school activities include: Novacare Rehab Center volunteer, South Jersey Elite Barons Soccer, and CER employee.
Honors/Awards: Honor Roll, Athlete of the Month, Senior Who's Who--Most Likely to Become President, Softball two times First Team All-Conference, and Homecoming Queen Runner-up.
Gabriella plans to attend a college/university to receive a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
Kyra Traino is the daughter of Gerald and Maria Traino of Mount Royal. School activities include: varsity lacrosse captain, varsity field hockey captain, Student Council, Martell's Corner volunteer (school store), PAWS, National Honor Society and National Foreign Language Honor Society.
Kyra's out-of-school activities include: InbeTWEEN girls' mentor (East Greenwich), Shady Lane Nursing Home volunteer, hostess at A'Pizze Tuscan Grill, and youth girls' lacrosse referee.
Honors/Awards Superintendent's List freshman year and Honor Roll consecutively since then, Spotlight Student of the Month for December 2014, Athlete of the Month for April 2015, Spotlight Student of the Month for September 2015, and Congressional Recognition (nomination to the USAFA ) from Representative Donald Norcross.
Kyra plans to major in marketing. Kyra is undecided on her choice of colleges, but she hopes to minor in film studies.
