The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said it would be up to Judge Robert Becker to decide on a sentence for James S. Cantona, 28.

WOODBURY -- A Washington Township man pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide Monday for a 2014 crash that killed a Woodbine man and injured two others.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said it would be up to Judge Robert Becker to decide on a sentence for James S. Cantona, 28.

Investigators say Cantona was driving a Nissan Maxima on Delsea Drive between County House and Salina roads Aug. 8, 2014 when his car crossed over the center line. The Maxima crashed into a Honda Civic driven by Michael Williams, 27, of Woodbine.

Williams died at the scene, the GCPO said. His 4-year-old son was injured, along with another passenger, 24-year-old Marcus Williams of Millville. Both were treated at Cooper Hospital in Camden. The prosecutor's office did not reveal any further details about the circumstances around the collision.

An assistant prosecutor has not made a sentence recommendation for Cantona because the matter was expected to go to trial soon. He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison for a single count of vehicular homicide, and 18 months each for two counts of assault by auto.

Sentencing is scheduled for March 4.
