LOGAN TWP. -- Police investigated an attempted garage break-in on Jan. 7.
A Shady Brook Lane resident reported hearing suspicious sounds from the garage area and looked outside to see three men walking away from his house.
The resident found damage to the garage door handle and a cut window screen. Investigators found no fingerprints on the window and a search of the area was unsuccessful.
Other police news:
- A 31-year-old Millville man was arrested on an outstanding Fairfield Township Municipal Court warrant following a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 8. He was processed and released pending a new court date.
- Officers investigating damage to a fence in the 300 block of Beckett Road determined that a juvenile was responsible. The juvenile and his mother agreed to make $590 in restitution to the victim to cover repair costs.
- A 20-year-old Woodbury woman reported the theft of $25 from a wallet she left in a Wawa restroom at 1700 Center Square Road. No suspect has been identified.
- Officers investigated the theft of nearly $5,000 worth of equipment from a storage garage on Beckett Road on Jan. 11. Reported stolen were two concrete saws, a chainsaw, and a vibratory asphalt plate.
- A motorist reported an act of road rage on Jan. 12 in which a man driving a white SUV threw a bottle at the victim's vehicle, shattering the rear window. No suspect has been located.
- Following a motor vehicle stop for failure to maintain lane, a 21-year-old Woolwich Township man was arrested for DWI and other motor vehicle violations. He was processed and released pending court.
- A McDonald's customer told police she found $570 on the floor of the restaurant on Jan. 14. She turned the cash over to police. The owner has not been located.
- Jewelry was reported stolen from an RV being serviced at Camping World on Heron Drive. No surveillance footage or evidence could be located.
- A 2002 Honda ATV with an estimated value of $2,500 was reported stolen from a Springer Lane residence.
- A vehicle parked on Edward Drive was struck and damaged by another vehicle overnight Jan. 18-19.
