GLASSBORO - Glassboro alumni and sports fans can now nominate individuals and teams for the Glassboro High School Sports Hall of Fame. Nomination forms are available from Sports Hall of Fame Committee members and are posted on the district website, glassboroschools.us. Nominations are due by April 30. The committee will select inductees from the nominations. New inductees will then be honored at an October 2016 banquet and a Glassboro High School football game.
Dave Kalapos, committee chairperson, noted, "The Glassboro High School Sports Hall of Fame began recognizing our outstanding athletes, coaches, and contributors over 40 years ago. The induction dinner is now a Glassboro tradition just as is the excellence in our athletes and athletic programs. The committee invites community nominations for this fall's induction."
Glassboro Sports Hall of Fame Committee members include Pete Calvo, Bill Clark, Robert Cleary, Jeff Cusack, Lou Fior, Gwen Haliburton, Joseph Herrschaft, George Johnson, Dave Kalapos, Ed Keith, June Longley, Jack McCulley, Barry Rappaport, Jody Rettig, Sean Redman, Dr. Danielle F. Sneathen, Charles Smith, and Anna Stewart Miller.
